We choose our own destiny, did you know that?

Every decision you make is a step either toward or away from your destiny, your destination in life. Your choices create the causes-and-effects that dictate your life experiences. How can you know if you’re moving in the right direction? Ask yourself if you’re making right decisions.

One way to know that is to check your heart. Are you peaceful with your decisions, your choices? Or are you uncomfortable with something, perhaps a bad habit or a negative attitude. Don’t ignore the prompting of your conscience. Your success is waiting on the other side of your right actions.

Consider this: the desires of your heart are God-given. I saw a ‘tweet’ just today that quoted Orison Swett Marden, “The Creator has not given you the desire to do that which He has not given you the ability to do”. Marden also said, “Don’t wait for extraordinary opportunities. Seize common occasions and make them great.”

Your destiny is not an end to be reached; it is a journey to be lived. Choose to enjoy every step along the way, even if you don’t always understand how things will work out. Make the quality decision to trust your Creator to lead you progressively along your individual path. Find some joy in each day.

Here’s another quote from Marden, “Weak men wait for opportunities; strong men make them”. If you feel like you’re on a narrow path, be encouraged! Your rewards will eventually come to pass. Remember, birds fly in flocks, eagles fly alone. Knowing that opposition will come is an important part of fulfilling your destiny. When hard times come, press on! Continue to make those choices that you know will contribute to your success … your destiny.

Do not look for the approval of others. Seasons of difficulty will actually develop you. During those time you gain experience, confidence and character.

Everything in life is determined by how you think! Right thinking positions you for a life of abundance and success.

1 Your thoughts create your emotions.

2. Your emotions prompt your decisions.

3. Your decisions determine your actions. Everything you do is based on a decision you made.

4. Your actions, repeated over time, become habits.

5. Your habits develop and demonstrate your Character. Character is doing what’s right because

it’s right and because it benefits others.

6. Your character produces your destiny. You can never rise higher in life than your character.

Grow up and be free from old habits that drag you down. Get your priorities straight. You are one-of-a-kind, created with a unique combination of personality, talents and perseverance. You were created to bless the world – your world – in a meaningful way. Begin making your best decisions. They will lead you into your best life … your destiny.
